Practice Scoring provides teachers a chance to learn how Algebra/Data Analysis constructed response items are scored on the high school assessments and a chance to practice scoring some actual responses. The rubric and anchor papers needed to accurately score student responses should be viewed before scoring and can be accessed at any time when you are trying to score selected responses.
The student responses chosen were included in training guides that were used to provide practice and discussion for the scorers of these items on the high school assessments.
To practice scoring, you may choose to listen to the year 2000 Scoring Tutor, which explains how the Rubric and anchor papers are used to score constructed responses, then choose one of the 2006 practice sets to begin scoring student responses.
