| Clarifications: Each clarification provides an explanation of the indicator/objective to help teachers better understand the concept. Classroom examples are often included to further illustrate the concept. While classroom examples could be shared with the students, the intended audience for the explanation/clarification is the classroom teacher-not the student. In addition, classroom examples may or may not reflect the assessment limits. |

Topic C. Numeric and Graphic Representations of Relationships |
Indicator 2. Analyze linear relationships |
Objective a. Identify and describe the change represented in a graph |
|
Assessment limit: Identify increase, decrease, or no change |
Clarification |
|---|
|
Graphs of linear relationships display an increasing relationship, a decreasing relationship, or no change. Increasing relationship examples show that, in general, as the horizontal values increase, the vertical values increase.
Decreasing relationship examples show that, in general, as the horizontal values increase, the vertical values decrease.
Relationships with no clear change show that, in general, as the horizontal values increase, the vertical values fluctuate.
